Here’s a fine example of what was, at the time, the worlds first fully programmable polyphonic synthesizer. The Prophet-5 is a remarkable piece of kit famous for it’s appearance in songs by Krafwerk, Michael Jackson, Madonna, Peter Gabriel and heard in soundtracks by Vangelis, John Carpenter and more recently, Netflix’ “Stranger Things”, the list is extensive. This is a genuine piece of synthesizer history!
Currently as original spec but MIDI can be added for around £550
This example is in excellent condition and has been refurbished with the following points specifically:
- Factory Presets loaded.
- new potentiometers throughout
- new jack sockets
- calibrated
- Keyboard cleaned, re-bushed and thoroughly serviced.
- wood frame refurbished and re-veneered end-cheeks.
